As many of our readers and supporters know, Trailnet advocates for "safe roads for all" which includes advocating for roads that are designed to complement the communities they pass through. Active, healthy, vibrant communities prioritize bike and pedestrian facilities that create safe and easy access to numerous destinations, including public transit - MetroBus and MetroLink in St. Louis. To that end, Trailnet has participated in the South County Connector study, primarily because it will parallel the blue line of MetroLink, and it bisects our inner ring suburbs, communities which are already highly walkable and bikeable, and are our best connections between our urban core and the surrounding counties.
