Dan Cross
Project Manager
Dan brings over six years of trail experience
with Trailnet and fifteen years of park, recreation
and trails background working with the Cities
of Brentwood, Chesterfield and Rock Hill.
Dan serves on the Walkable/Bikeable Community
Planning Team, which is funded through MoDot
and East West Gateway Council of Governments.
This partnership offers trail and bike planning
for local communities.
To date, Dan has led the Community Planning Team in the completion of 10 Community Bicycle/Pedestrian Facilities Master Plans and the current work in fourteen additional municipalities. Mr.
Cross sits on the planning committee for
the Missouri Trail Summit and the Illinois
Trails and Greenway Workshop. He is a member
of the Missouri Park & Recreation Association,
the National Recreation and Park Association,
Illinois Park & Recreation Association
and is President elect of the Southern Illinois
Park and Recreation Association.
Dan has a Bachelors degree in Park and
Recreation Administration, and has completed
coursework towards a Masters degree in Public
Policy Administration.
Ann Mack
Executive Director
Ann came to Trailnet in 2000 to develop the initial plan for visitor orientation, education and public experience services within The Confluence Project. She transitioned to lead programs in 2003, overseeing the Bicycle Fun Club and other Trailnet events, developing community programs to promote walking and bicycling for transportation, and fostering partnerships that link these activities to better health. Ann took the position of Executive Director in March, 2006.
Ann was founder/director of MidAmerican
Energy and Resource Partners, a non-profit
entity serving schools and communities, and
which is now a division of the Missouri Botanical
Garden.
Ann is a Board Member for the Association of Pedestrian and Bicycling Professionals, and a Member of the Missouri Advance Planning (Transportation) Regional Working Group. Previously, Ann taught physics and
advanced placement biology and served as
education coordinator for an appropriate
technology center in Santa Barbara, California.
Ann has a Bachelors degree in Science and
a Master of Arts in Teaching. Ann has been using her bicycles, and feet, for transportation and recreation for over 30 years.
Kathi Weilbacher
PR & Program
Manager
Kathi came to Trailnet in 2000
and has served various roles
including Office Manager and Membership Manager
before assuming the role of PR and Program
Manager. She has several years of experience in public
relations, communications and
special event planning from her prior work
as 4-H and Youth Advisor with the University
of Illinois Extension Service. She serves
as Trailnet’s liaison
on the Eagle Days Planning Team that plans
a 5-day educational program that draws 5,000 – 10,0000
visitors annually to the Old
Chain of Rocks Bridge.
Ms Weilbacher is a member of the Community
Service Public Relations Council (CSPRC),
is currently serving as Membership Chairman
and has served two years as co-chairman of
the annual Spectrum Conference. She is also
a member of the Saint Louis Attractions Association.
Kathi has a Bachelors degree in Business.
Development Team
Trailnet’s Development Team has over 30 years combined
fundraising experience in the
non-profit sector, with expertise in prospect research
and foundation and corporate
relations. Our Team has had recent success developing cause
marketing partnerships for our
rides, events and website and in securing major multi-year grants from new funding sources.
Event Team
Trailnet’s Event Team has over 30 years combined
staff bike maintenance and mechanical
experience and over 10 years combined group ride coordination
and road mapping. Our Team has
high familiarity with road systems across the bi-state region
and experience with identification
and avoidance of road hazards. All Event staff have First
Aid/CPR Training Certificates.
