Planned giving, simply defined,
is any technique that includes charitable
giving in your total financial plan. It is
an excellent way to extend your generous
support of Trailnet and have meaningful,
ongoing impact on our vital work around the
region.
In working with donors and their financial
advisors to plan major gifts,
our Board of Directors is guided by Trailnet’s
Gift Acceptance Guidelines. We gratefully
accept the following planned gift vehicles
at this time:
Beneficiary
designation
You may transfer
assets to Trailnet by naming us as a beneficiary
in your will, your life insurance policy
or your retirement or pension plan.
Charitable remainder
trust
You may place
assets in a tax-exempt trust that provides
payments to you for your lifetime or for
a specified number of years. At the end of
the defined time period, the remainder of
the assets will be transferred to Trailnet.
Charitable lead
trust You may place assets
in a trust that provides
income to Trailnet for a term of years
or the remainder of your lifetime. At the
end of the defined time period, the assets
are returned to the beneficiaries named
in the trust.
