Healthy, Active & Vibrant Communities
This exciting initiative focuses at the policy level to produce the farthest-reaching and longest-term solutions to the obesity epidemic. Trailnet is working with organizations and institutions throughout the St. Louis region to develop and implement policies promoting a healthy community and healthy active lifestyle in low-income communities most vulnerable to developing obesity. Trailnet is working with community leaders and stakeholders to develop a holistic approach to support healthy and active lifestyles through:
- Policy changes
- Education
- Programming
- Community planning
- Social marketing
- Physical projects

Trailnet's goal is to create community environments that encourage people to be healthy and active.
